Playing System, Rules & Regulations

Playing System

The following playing system is subject to the number of teams registered for 2025.

Round Robin

If 20 teams are entered, teams will be divided into four Pools (Pool A, B, C and D). Teams will play against teams in their pool, in a single round robin. Points are awarded to teams after each game:

  • Win / Win by default = 2 points

  • Draw = 1 point

  • Loss / Loss by default = 0 points

Seeding Rounds

After the Round Robin, the top teams based on number of points in each pool go into the Premier Group (six teams in total), and the middle ranking teams in each pool go into the Championship Group (six teams in total). The bottom teams in each pool go into the Plate / Social Group (eight teams in total).

Teams will only carry over the points gained against teams in their new seeding pool (points gained against teams NOT in their seeding pool are not carried over).

In their new seeding pools, teams only play against teams they have not already played against. Points gained are added to their points carried over from the RR.

Playoffs

After the Seeding Rounds, Teams are ranked according to their number of points.

Teams ranked 1-4 go into the A playoffs; Teams ranked 5-8 go into the B playoffs; Teams ranked 9-12 go into the C playoffs; Teams ranked 13-16 go into the D playoffs; Teams ranked 17-20 go into the E playoffs.

Within each playoff division, the team ranked 1st and 4th, and 2nd and 3rd play against each other. Winners compete for the playoff division’s “Gold medal” game. Losers compete for the playoff division’s “Bronze medal” game.

Please note that this can change, depending on the number of teams we have.
